In this blog post, I will be sharing my drafts for my table of contents. In both of my drafts, I used the same fonts except for the title and I used a similar color scheme. Both of my drafts were created on Canva because I find it easier to use compared to any other program. I have an idea of which one I will end up using and fixing up but I am still not 100% sure. I will receive critique from my classmates on April 6, 2023, which will help me fix up the draft that they like the most and the perfect one. That draft will most likely be the one I end up using for my final magazine.
First draft:
This draft has very fun and vibrant colors which seem very girly and many attract more young females.
The spacing in the draft was a slight issue because it was difficult to get everything perfectly spaced so I think this draft looks a little cluttered and confusing.
I don't love the fonts I used only because they look a little too formal for golf.
I might try to fix up the spacing on this draft to make it look less crowded.
Second Draft:
This draft is divided up into two pages so it is clearer and looks less crowded, with it being less crowded it is more appealing to look at.
I like the colors I used for this one because even though I used fun bright colors, the dark background gives an organized look.
The fonts fit the laid-back genre because golf isn't so formal
I like the font of the "mental", "physical" and "table of contents" because it is eye-catching and brightly colored and gets the viewer's attention.
I like the spacing on this draft because it is all perfectly measured out.
In conclusion, I prefer the organization, the layout, and the colors of the second draft. I think the fonts fit the genre perfectly but I just really like how neat the layout looks. I think the second draft will be the one that is fixed up and used as my final table of contents.
