Creative Critical Reflection

In this blog post I will be doing creative critical reflection now that my magazine in finally completed. I will b e answering four creative critical reflection questions in different forms.

  • #1: How does your product use or challenge conventions and how does it represent social groups or issues? (Director's commentary)

  • #2: How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text? (Presentation with Voiceover)

  • #3: How did your production skills develop throughout this project? (Podcast)

  • #4: How did you integrate technologies - software, hardware, and online - in this project? (screencast)

I used Canva to create my project which is an online website. Since my table of contents page has to be the same I just copied the exact layout, colors and text instead of doing it all over. It made everything easier and saved me so much time.

In conclusion, creating this magazine helped me learn many new skills and solve problems on my own. I am very happy with the final results and I am now convinced that I am able to solve any issue on my own, it just takes a little hard work and dedication. My magazine uses and challenges conventions, it also represents the middle class. My magazine engages with the audience through it through bright colors, and it will be distributed as a real media text through a billboard. I believe my production skills developed greatly due to this project, and I am very happy with the skills I learned. I integrated technology by using online websites to create factors in a magazine, such as my table of contents, magazine, cover, and double-page spread. I loved doing this project, and I got many takeaways from it.
